Yard Sign Info

A yard sign is optional but the general rule of thumb is it’s a very good idea. Sometimes you need privacy so it wouldn’t be wanted or there might be townhouse/condo restrictions or local restrictions. Many houses sell from the sign and/or generate interest. The benefit of our sign is some buyers will feel more comfortable knowing that a Realtor® has the house listed and will make it easier to find the correct house that is for sale. 

NOTE: NY DOS advertising regulations require that any signage installed on a property listed with a real estate broker must show the brokerage’s name so that means the only sign that can be used is the official Northern Star Realty sign (included with the Gold Plan or can be purchased separately with Silver Plan).  “For sale by owner” signs can not be used on a property listed by any real estate broker in NYS (yes you still have the right to sell on your own without paying any commission using our plans, you just cant use your own sign if it’s MLS listed in NYS).

Note: If you want a heavier duty frame as shown above for the sign instead of the temporary H-wire stake, most home improvement stores like Lowes or Home Depot carry one for around $20. (definitely recommended). Optional info box is also available.
